Lucky Gem Cookie Policy: What Sits in Your Browser
Cookies in short:
- Small files our site stores in your browser to keep a visit running
- Three kinds in use: essential, analytics and preference
- Outside parties add cookies of their own
- Your browser lets you delete or limit them, step by step
A lobby with 6,000 or more titles carries a lot of detail through a visit, such as who is logged in and which account currency was chosen. Cookies hold part of that detail.
What cookies are
A small file on your device
A cookie is a short text file that a website stores in your browser. On your next visit the browser hands it back, so the site recognises the device.
Think of it as a cloakroom ticket: the ticket itself holds no coat, it only tells the attendant which coat is yours. The ticket carries a code, and the site reads that code to pick up where you left off.
Why a casino site uses them
After you sign in with your e-mail and password, a cookie keeps the session open while you move between slots, live tables and the cashier. Without it you would have to log in again on every new page.
The same idea applies on a phone. Our mobile site uses the same HTML5 design and navigation as the desktop version, and live chat opens in the mobile browser, so a session started on a laptop feels familiar on a handset and the browser keeps its own cookies for each device.
Types of cookies
Essential cookies
These make the site work: they keep you logged in and protect the session. Switching them off in the browser can break login and the cashier.
Blocking them can leave a login that refuses to stay open.
Analytics cookies
These show us how people move through the lobby, for example which sections get opened and where visitors leave. The results help us decide what to improve.
A typical example: if many visitors open the live casino and leave within seconds, that tells us a section needs clearer wording. The numbers describe groups of visitors and are used to improve pages.
Preference cookies
These hold small display settings for your return visits, on desktop and on mobile, where layout and navigation match.
Deleting them is harmless: the site simply returns to its default look the next time you open it.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies come from outside parties whose tools we use. Typical roles:
- Analytics tools that count visits and measure how long pages are used
- Payment providers that need to recognise a session during a deposit or a withdrawal
- Embedded content from game studios
- Links to outside websites, which set their own cookies once you arrive
Managing cookies in your browser
Every browser keeps cookie controls in its settings. The wording differs a little, but the route is the same:
Browsers store cookies per device, so a change made on your laptop does not reach your phone. Repeat the steps on every device you use for play.
- Open the settings menu of your browser.
- Go to the privacy or security section.
- Choose the cookie or site-data option.
- Pick a rule: allow all, block third-party cookies or block everything.
- Use the delete option to clear cookies already stored.
- Reload the site and log in again if you removed essential cookies.
